Funny Stuff

Lina and Junie were playing on my bed pillows that are thrown on my floor.  Jolina lays down on the pillows, covered herself with a cover and said “Goodnight John Boy!” Ok, enough Waltons for them! LOL

John has a problem with his rear. Every time he stands up he has to either pick or wiggle. He is picking and wiggling his underwear off his sticky back end I am told. So the other day Tana (Kristina’s dd) came by and dropped off a big basket of cloth diapers that Kristina is letting me borrow. As she was leaving John stood up and waved to Tana and said bye. Only problem is his other hand was doing the pick and wiggle. After I closed the door I did my best impersonation of John’s little dance while saying “Is everything ok John?” Well that sent everyone (including John) into giggles. Later that night I was telling Jeff the story and how the kids all laughed at my impersonation. As I was telling the story several kids came up and wanted to relive it. So here comes Jason….and he is hysterical….he does this impression of John that looks more like a John Travolta disco move from Staying Alive than anything I’ve seen our John do! His right hand is in the air supposedly waving at an invisible Tana and his other hand is gripping his back pocket. When he yanks his pocket the opposite hand shoots into the air and the words “Staying Alive, staying alive, oo, oo, oo, oo, staying alive” float through the air. I told Jeff that is the disco version. Then Jenna attempts her impersonation of John’s pick and wiggle. Only hers looks more like a pigeon dance than anything. Her head is cocking forward and back while her hand is doing the Walk like an Egyptian thing. I tell Jeff “That is the chicken dance version.” Nobody else ventured their take on the pick and wiggle but Jeff did inquire to John why he did the pick and wiggle. That was when we learned of John’s terrible curse of sweaty butt. Jeff just rolled his eyes and said he should get his moisture meter out and stab him in the butt to confirm the problem! LOL By the end of the conversation I was laughing so hard I was crying!!

My kids are addicted to Taco Bell sauce and Red Hot. Now that Taco Bell has started putting catchy phrases on their sauce packets dinner (any dinner because we have an entire kitchen drawer dedicated to our sauce collection) has become just that much more amusing. So I used to read them all to the kids but now the 3 oldest must read their own. And I read the ones for the babies. So Jill brings over her sauce packet and I read “How many of these do you have in your glove box?” and Jill bursts into laughter. Ah, the little joys in life!! Alas the other night Jeff read a packet to himself…..it said “You had me at Taco.” Now unless you read it just right and are in the right frame of mind the meaning of this saying might go right over your head. That is exactly what happened to Jeff. He immediately put on this confused look and said “huh?” Now Jenna, always quick to jump on an opportunity to help, (or was it that she wanted to make Jeff look silly?) starts explaining…. “You know like when someone starts explaining something and you want to say that you already understand or agree….you would say ‘Oh you had me at whatever’ to get them to stop talking about it.” Now Jeff’s face goes from confused to truly perplexed. He is still staring at the Taco Bell packet. Jenna tries to elaborate more because obviously Dad is not getting it. Jeff cuts her off “I get it…..” and finally he looks at me who is stifling giggles and says “Did you teach her that?” Yes Jeff, I did. I explained it several weeks ago. LOL And he breathed a sigh of relief. “But someday there will come a time when she really will explain something to you that you have no clue about.” ;) LOL And Jeff says “But not when she is ten!” LOL That had me in giggles for quite awhile!!
