Cranky Butts and Halloween Festivities

Yikes it is Tuesday already!! Yesterday while we were visiting the chiropractor I was looking through the little photo book he has laying on his counter. He changes out the pictures about once a month with new pics of his kids. So there were school pictures and vacation pictures and one hysterical picture of one of his twins sitting in his carseat. He is all buckled in and is crying. In his right hand he is loosely holding a Magna Doodle and on the magna doodle are written the words “I am a cranky butt!” I about died!! Now how many parents (besides us) would A) write that and B) take a picture? I loved it!! I know several people that would think that is just cruel. Of course those people don’t have kids. Hmmmmm.

Since yesterday was Halloween we took it upon ourselves to turn off all the lights, refuse to answer the door and watch a movie. Jeff bought a movie about the life of Buddy Holly. I said “Aha! That is History and Music Appreciation!” There were a few parts that Jeff fast forwarded through but all in all the movie was ok. This was the 1978 version. I would not recommend the 1990’s version. It was crude. The kids are sad that Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens died though. Next time I think we should find a movie that has a happy ending!!

We ate late and then I read the kids a little bit from the book “Ten Ps in a Pod”. The jury is still out whether I like the book. So far it seems a bit dry and short on details. I like details (NO WAY!!).
