Been Home 2 Days and Doing Well!!!
First off I want to thank all of you who have sent packages and cards and gifts. When we were in the hospital this last time I left Jill alone for a minute while I ran to get some real food. You know, something other than cafeteria food. Well, on the off chance that she might answer the phone I left it on her bed. Doncha know Jeff called while I was gone and Jill ANSWERED!! She is getting better about talking past that NG tube.
When I got back and I got the whole story about Dad calling and there are “TWO packages at the house and LOTS of hats!” I wish I had a picture of her big eyes and her holding up two fingers with excitement. So when things were looking down and we were tired of sitting in that hospital room I’d mention those packages and we would have something to look forward to. The Vincristine makes her head itch so she is generally hesitant to wear hats but she does wear them to clinic. Our plan is to wear a new hat each week to show Dr. Singer.
Before I forget, we go back inpatient on Thursday for our BIG chemo. I think I’ll have Jeff scan in the schema for those that want to follow what we are doing. It is 36 weeks of chemo and we have had 3 so far. 33 more weeks to go!!
Lots of pictures to follow:
Miraculous X-Ray pictures: Two weeks after being admitted. 1.5 weeks after the first round of chemo. Notice the deviated esophagus. You can tell where it is because of the feeding tube. For you non medical types that large mass on the left (your right) is not supposed to be there. There is supposed to be a lung which would appear black.

LOOKIE HERE!! There is now something that resembles a lung!! The mass is much smaller!!

Get well wishes from Jana.

Hats and goodies from Kristy.

Hats from Lisa’s SIL who lives down the road from me. :)

Cool search thing from Lisa. No really, this is a really cool toy that I can’t describe. I hope she carries these in her store.

Cool stickers, notebook, pens and melted crayons from Beth at the WS.

More pics to follow later. Must make breakfast.

My kids (and us) have been praying daily for Jillian. I was just showing them the pictures of her x-rays you have up here, and my son Ethan said..we need to keep praying mom!
My kids would love to send Jillian some sort of care package. Would that be possible?

Oh Katie!!! Those xray pictures have me bawling! I can’t imagine how your momma’s heart is holding it together through all of this, but I praise God that Jillian has you and her family to help see her through it. That first xray is HORRIBLE, but the second makes anything seem possible. We will continue to be praying and loving you guys from WV.
