Surgery Update – Monday 5:15pm
We are 2 hours in and they are saying they will have to take the whole lung. Jillian is doing great otherwise and there have been no complications. We are getting updates from the nurse every hour. I’ll update as I can.

I’m praying for you all Katie. I cannot imagine. My God’s grace and peace surround you and Jillian. This has got to be one of the hardest things for a human being to go through and you are doing it with such grace and strength. You are blessed to have the supportive friends you do and Jillian is blessed to have such an awesome mama. Praying.

Hang in there… I know I always say that, and I always mean it. One day at a time, one moment at a time, one challenge at a time.
I can only begin to imagine how hard this must be for you guys. Know that your precious little girl is being prayed for by so very many people around the world- she’s in good hands, the best of hands, no matter the outcome.
We’ll be thinking of Jillian and praying for her recovery after this surgery… my kids are hearing that wor a lot- I have another aunt having reconstructive surgery tomorrow- there’s a line of cancer surgeries on my mom’s side of the family. It’s never fun and always sobering to think about… could be me or my kid next time.
Life is precious and I don’t want to take my children for granted though I know I do far too much- you’ve been an inspiration to me- I loved the ‘yes mom’ post, and I’m working on being so much more of a yes mom rather than a "not right now mom" or a "maybe later mom"
No matter what happens in this situation, you’ve been a wonderful mother and your children have been so very blessed to have you!
