Jillian is HEALED!!!

Yep, you read that right!! Pathology came back from the tumor they removed and there is no sign of viable cancer cells!!! Praise God for His healing and HOORAH for MannaTech to whom we give much credit. God does the healing and he likes to use people to make it happen sometimes. Should some credit be given to the allopathic doctors and their chemotherapy? That remains to be seen. We will be researching that in the future.

Now I know you are asking the same questions Jeff and I are still asking. Things like:

Ummmm… so did they have to take her lung?

What about chemo now?

We are still working on answers to those questions. We have been reeling from the news for the last several days. At first we experienced despair. “Why did they take the lung then?” And as we worked a little further we came to the “Well, I guess I’ll be happy that it wasn’t worse.” And now I think we have arrived at “Hoorah, my kid is healed!!” The questions remain but the joy is returning. What a horrible 3 month nightmare we just endured. This is not the final chapter I am sure and the book is not near being closed but I believe we have already found our happy ending. I will update as answers to hard questions become available.

Now onto the good stuff (the news above was the amazing and miraculous stuff). Jillian had her chest tube removed yesterday. Boy was she spunky last night!! The poor girl really needs to get out of bed and RUN somewhere. There is too much pent up energy in her 4yo body. Jeff tried to take her for a true walk. You know, one where she would use her own legs as opposed to being pulled around in a wagon. She is still too weak-kneed to go for a stroll. But for all the kicking she did last night I am sure she is strengthening those legs. Every time she spoke she felt inclined to flail her legs around in excitement. She really is feeling very good and it shows. She should be moving up to the second floor today. I will be staying with her tonight.

Last night Diane kept my kids. I’m not sure how much candy and money they give my kids there but in spite of the constant abuse Cameron heaps on my children by whacking them in the head with video boxes my kids continue to rave about being there. I’ll have to inquire about their system because I’ve been inclined to flail video tape boxes at the children all too often. I just never thought I could get away with it. Perhaps it is The Girls with their sweet spirits and eagerness to build bracelets that balances things out. That must be it.

Here are pictures from several days ago.  This is one of the sun rooms between the PICU pods.  You can look out onto the fish pond and the a view of the trains from these sun rooms.

Another day, another wagon ride.  Jillian took to refusing to get out of the wagon.  She took several naps in the wagon while we were on the PICU.

This was a happy day.  Jeff brought the kids and we all hung out in the sun room.

Jillian blew sticky bubbles for everyone.

It is my night at the hospital tonight.  So I will have more pictures and hopefully an update that we are home in a couple days.  Sara will be our nurse upstairs!!  Hoorah!!  I need a picture of her.

Lift up praise to God today for what he has done for Jillian. And if you have an ill child I strongly urge you to look into the MannaTech products.
