A Happy Monday

Jonah’s newest accomplishment.  Wearing flip -flops between his toes.

Supplements mixed up and ready for the day.

And I love this picture because it illustrates so truthfully  what school looks like here.  The boys are doing Easy Grammar and they share one workbook.  They work together.  Today they were working on their spelling workbooks and some of the words were new and they were challenged a little bit.  When they finished John said “Team work!” and I thought HOORAH, he knows that it is more important to get the job done correctly with help than to try to fumble through alone in an effort to gain all of the glory by finishing first.  Gone are the days of constant competition.  My boys are growing up and maturing.

Wow, that IS a happy day!
Don’t get my hopes up about the competition easing up… I can’t imagine my boys not competing about everything– who drinks the milk the fastest, who gets their pj’s on the fastest (well, I got my pants on first or I’m the winner of the 6 year old’s!– uhhh… you’re the only 6yo in the whole house). And of course, I HAVE to draw the line at who brushes their teeth the fastest. I think I need to retrain them to think bestest instead of fastest!
Cool unders! I’ll have to check it out for my best friend’s daughter. Thanks!
Have a great weekend!
Marsha
