Bye-bye Ba.
It was the fateful day. Time to grow up. A little right of passage. The day to do away forever with the bottle. With some bribing and coaxing Jonah got in on the game and into the trash went the bottles.

Yuck, Ma!!

Yep, they are all in there. Do you feel liberated, Son?

This sippy is working out pretty well. Thanks, Ma.

Ok, the milk is still good, even out of a cup.

But the next morning tragedy struck. There was no morning ba. And the cup was just not cutting it. It’s not the same. Not the same. There were tears shed.

And then you have to ponder your bottleless fate. It’s a sad sad day.

Even breakfast goes untouched as you try to reconcile yourself with your horrible circumstances.

But eventually basic human need kicks in and that tamale starts to smell mighty yummy.

After getting a full tummy you have a different perspective.
That was a pretty sneaky trick, Ma. You know I loved the ba.

But I guess I forgive you. You are my favorite Ma.

I’m sorry Son, but it was time for the ba to go.

Oh, poor, sweet little boy! I supect it is a good thing you have so many kiddos. It makes you wise to all their little ploys. Otherwise, you would truly be melting from the saddness of those adorable looks.
That was just the cutest picture story ever.

Your Jonah is delicious! Simply delicious!
I remember when mine had to give theres up, it was hard, hard on me too! They grow to fast….Scuppernongs and Muscadines are grapes that grow really well in the south. (we are in GA) They are super easy to grow and take very little care. We make jelly out of them and they do have tons of seeds and a thick outer skin but are plump and juicy.
My Abram loved his bottle so much, it was a hard thing for him to give up too…. He had his ba and his blankie… blankie is still hanging around. :)
Tooo cute!
