Taking Care of Business

Once again it is time for some housekeeping.
You all know how much I love the Mannatech products. Jillian is still taking them and we are still being sponsored by the MannaRelief program which makes it all possible because the supplements can get expensive. Also, we likely would have never tried the products without the kind donations from our Internet friends and Mannatech distributors. Now I know of another family that would like to try these wonderful products.
Jen Backus has brought her son Samuel back from the brink of death more times than I can remember. When all of the experts and professionals gave up on Samuel, she never did. I admire her greatly and hope that I would have half the resolve and commitment that she has if I happen to find myself in her situation.
Jen has been advised that the glyconutrients in the Mannatech products might be helpful to Samuel. She would like to add the Mannatech products to Samuel’s health regimen but already has the mounting costs of allopathic care and the alternative medicines looming over her head. Jen has signed up for the MannaRelief program and Samuel can now be sponsored. Please, if you feel led, donate to Samuel’s account using case #8578.
Samuel Backus

Jen, if you’d like me to remove Samuel’s picture let me know. :)
Point of business #2.
If you have not already heard, Jeff has started a message board. It looks like it is going to be a really fun place to hang out and visit with other Christians and like minded folks. And please please go register because Jeff is putting a lot of time and energy into this board and I’d hate for it to all be for naught.

In other news.
As soon as I posted the info about staying healthy Jacob started in with a cough. It’s almost no wonder as we haven’t had kefir in over a week and our diet has been less than stellar. Today I will be dosing everyone with garlic and Sovereign Silver. Tomorrow we will have kefir. Ugh, now my throat is scratchy!! Bring on the garlic!!
My cook along this week was supposed to be about kefir but it is mighty hard to take pictures *and* hold a baby. So look for that cook along soon. Monday I’ll be posting a cook along for stuffed bell peppers which is a common Turkish dish. And yummy to boot!!
I’d like to do another give away soon. What do you guys prefer? Books, CDs, gift certificates or what?

Samuel’s mom is quite the trooper as well. I’m so glad she is going to get help to receive the supplements he needs.
Love the message board!
Love stuffed peppers! I’m interested in what you put in them as I’ve seem them lots of ways. My mom always stuffed them with a rice mixture. Did you know you can make them in the crockpot? You can and they turn out yummy! Just make them like you would and cook for about 4ish hours on high or 8ish hours on low. Mmmm.

What great pictures! Who can resist a baby butt?
I’ll be continuing in my prayers for Samuel and the other children who are profiled around blogland.

LOL at the photos. I’m afraid to ask exactly who is in the pictures, though.
You were serious about not being on the board. I’ve barely seen you there. Or else you are not there when I am…

Awww…Jonah’s so cute!
Ahhh….I need to make myself some Kefir too. Haha…Better take it out of the fridge!

Katie, I just love those pictures of Jonah! A towel, I presume, over the shoulder with what looks like his finger? in his mouth off to do what ever a little boy does where ever a little boy does it. Kids are just the best.
Also, I have registered on Jeff’s forum. And I will keep him in prayer.
Love from all of us here in the land down under to you all over there.

That is Jonah and he has his hand on his mouth. I jsut told him to go get dressed and he dropped the towel and started howling. But then he put his hand on his mouth because he knew he shouldn’t be crying.
I’m not posting on the board because there is an error message each time I try to post! And Jeff won’t fix it!! That says something huh?

Yay for garlic! Works like a charm for me. Also wanted to remind you to put “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” by Barbara Kingsolver on your list to read and review. I think you would really enjoy it. (I mentioned it to you a while ago, but at that time you had no library privileges) :)
A suggestion for Jeff’s board (if you want to pass it along)….I think he has too many forums. He should consolidate them and not make them so specific. I think it’s easier and more user-friendly to have 4-5 general forums than 20 very specific ones. JMO

So, can we use Katie Bettendorf as our reference at Jeff’s board?
