All is Good in the World

Have you noticed the difference? Do you see how fast my blog loads up? Yep, we switched servers for my blog as well. Check out Jeff’s blog to see where we are now. I don’t get into all the technical side of things I’m just glad to be able to get comments again. I’m so sorry that things were so difficult for awhile. And while I got a lot of cool tag line entries I just feel that people didn’t have a fair chance because the site was running so slow. So I am going to give everyone another 5 days.

GoDaddy.com Hosting & Servers
I have a load of pictures to show you. Lots of stories, fun cook alongs and child training stuff to put up. My father-in-law called the other day to complain that I hadn’t blogged (oh and to scare me with a fake account of a heart attack. What a joker making light of life threatening situation. Hmph!). I also need to retrieve the comments that were lost in the switch. I can do that, can’t I?
Let me get on that. In the meantime please answer this poll.

Gosh, omit the last two and that’s why I read here…maybe you should have “choose up to three”… :)

  2. Shannon said:

I could have voted for more than 1 of those! Like almost all of them!

  3. katie said:

Exercise some self control ladies!! ONE. Choose ONE. ;)

  4. Christina said:

I agree… it is hard to chose one reason. I often send friends to your blog for training tips, health info and more. And who can resist the cuteness of all of your darlings?

  5. Faith said:

I too, could have chosen more than one… Considering that I love large families though, I had to choose that one:)

  6. Deedee said:

No fair! The first six all apply - how do I choose ONE!!!! And yes, you loaded up really quick - horray!!

  7. Lori4squaremom said:

Like a few of the other ladies, I had a hard time choosing just one. I love reading your blog to keep up with your family, but also because of the health information, food information, etc. And yes, your kiddos are absolutely darling and I love hearing about their adventures and your child-training tips (many of which we do in our home also)!

    Blessings, dear one!

I chose child training, but Jillian updates and healthy eating are just about ties. Love the baby pictures, too!

  9. Jana said:

I would have liked to have this option:

I like to read about large families who HAD out of control children but fed them healthier so they COULD homeschool them, but no more than 2 weeks a year!

  10. Laura in UT said:

I like it all and I am not even family!

  11. Dana said:

I couldn’t choose just one, I think all the choices are why I come here, except the “I’m family and I have too, lol” I love your blog!! Its a bit of everything and that keeps it really interesting!!

I would have to agree with everyone else! I am here for all except the last 2. I find your blogs very interesting and I find all the topics interesting. I am always looking fo healthy ways to feed my family. Interesting ideas on how to deal with kids with disabilities. Some people do not understand these children, there disabilities are not seen by looking at them. You basically can not judge there disabilities even after sitting with them for an hour. So it is always interesting to see how you tackle the comments from others who do not understand. And of course who wouldn’t want to see the baby pics.
And my final thought is Jillian, I wish that you could get your way of dealing with cancer to other families. I agree with you and how you are choosing to battle this ugly disease. Doctors do not always know whats best.

  13. Lisa said:

Ditto here! I love hearing about your family, Jillian’s progress/treatment, healthy eating, child training, homeschooling, the whole shebang!! I’m very happy your blog is loading so much faster too!

  14. Crystal said:

Yeah all of them except for the last two. Although, if I am ever bored a new post from you or reading others’ comments would help with that.

I like reading about other families and getting a peek into their lives, but not in a nosy way.

But since you said only one and I found you on home school blogger originally I voted the homeschooling one.

  15. Shannon M. said:

I said healthy eating, but I really come here for all but the last two as well. It is nice to get some variety:)

  16. Dawn said:

Great new look and YES it seems WAY faster!!

Well, I agree with everyone else. I couldn’t just vote for one but, I controlled myself and voted for one. The big family one. All though, does six kids qualify me for a large family? LOL

Yah for your blog loading up faster too. Although, I never did have problems with it loading for me.

I look forward to the pics and posts. Especially the cook along. I’ve just received my NT book a couple of weeks ago and am strill reading. (BIG BOOK)

    waaaahhh…. I can’t choose just one. I just can’t do it… sigh…

  19. Sheila said:

I would have voted on all of the first 4 if I could have! However, just to keep it simple chose healthy eating. :DI

  20. Jen said:

Well I first found your blog and read it to get Jillian’s updates, but then I got hooked - yep - anything from parenting to healthy eating to just needing a smile for my day!

  21. Samantha said:

um,they all apply except for the ‘i’m family’ one. Can’t choose.

    love Samantha

  22. Roxie said:

I pick all of them you can’t really expect us to just pick one can you…oops we aren’t family so strike the all and insert most of them. Sorry my husband and I are both only children and as such like to both break the rules and keep the peace.

  23. Krista said:

I agree with everyone else…. I had an extremely hard time choosing. I had to pick the large family one, because that is one of the reasons that drew me to your site in the first place…. besides the fact that you homeschool. I’m amazed at how one could have soo many children & still keep their sanity! I’ve been known to show many people your site and the picture of your trailer that you guys built shelves in (with a place for your sewing!) for your long trip. It just amazed me!

  24. Becky L. said:

AAAHHH! I can’t pick just one either!
I chose the eating healthy, but really it’s because you have a large family and manage so well, I wonder what’s up with me and struggling to manage four!
Also you’re a fellow homeschooler…oh and the discipline! I need help with that for sure. Plus you’re funny.

I agree, you totally needed an ‘all of the above,’ or maybe “because you love my sense of humor,’ then i might have voted for one of those. As it is, I may go vote for the large families one, because I find it facinating, though I love LOVE the child training, even though I woudln’t exactly call mine out of control. most days. :)

  26. sarah (heartwomb) said:

I think seeing how a large family operates including healthy eating, dealing with trials like Jillie’s cancer and discipline issues etc. sums it up pretty much. If it’s apart of your life we want to know! :O)

  27. Dawn said:

It is to hard to pick just one. I love hearing about child training, healthy eating, large families and how others homeschool. Your blog is fun, educational and always interesting.
    Blessings,
    Dawn

  28. Lady Roadkill said:

Every reason except the bottom two, for me. Sorry I can’t pick just one :D

  29. Kristy said:

    All of the above?

Glad to see I’m not the only one who couldn’t pick just one!

  30. Beth said:

Well, Katie..you didn’t say “all of the above” nor “other reasons” - so I didn’t answer. I “know” you and your family from RGT, and while I’m no longer there I like to check up on ya’ll through your blog. I’m wanting to feed my family more nutritiously, keep Jillian in my prayers, wish I was homeschooling again, that my kids were better behaved…

SIGH. Katie, you rock! I SO admire you in many ways. You inspire me to work at being a better mom.

  31. Beth said:

Geez. I can tell I’m tired tonight. NOT “all” of the above. The last two don’t apply. I’m not family, nor bored. Sorry!

  32. Megan said:

Katie, you didn’t have an option for ME!

Here it is with my vote: because I’m fond of you, that’s why.

Maybe because I “get” your sense of humor? Maybe because I’ve got a soft spot for someone who can say, “I can get my dog to stop barking in the house. You can get your special needs kid to stop screaming at the top of his lungs”? I actually forget why you used the dog analogy, but I laughed about that for days. Maybe because I want fourteen kids, so I read about your twelve? Maybe because I’m addicted to knowing what other people are up to?

  33. Megan said:

Oh, and before anyone possibly gets offended, I live with a special needs kid and I was laughing because Katie was spot on: I think some people believe their puppies are smarter than my little guy just because they’re faster to give him excuses than the less-intelligent puppy!

  34. Melissa (blessedmama21) said:

I said because of your big family, but it’s a toss up between that and your wonderful sense of humor ;)

  35. Bobbie-Jo said:

Yup. Only one choice was not fair. No self control. Maybe you could do a post on that?

  36. Norma said:

Honestly, my vote would have been “all of the above” except for the related part.

  37. Julia said:

I couldn’t just choose one because I like to read because you’re a large homeschooling family that uses alternative medicine and eats cool healthy food! LOL

  38. Julie said:

I guess I am here to learn self control, because that was really, really hard. I wanted at least 3. :)

  39. Geraldine said:

Well, I voted the child training one, but I’d like to clarify: I’m most interested in how to raise children with FAS and RAD, but all of your top 6 categories I’m interested in.
