Hey Mom. Come here. Let’s play a game.
Which game is this?
The one where I smile and then as soon as you pick up the camera I get a perplexed look on my face.
Ummm, I think we’ve played this game before.
Come onnnnnn.
Hmph. :::picking up camera:::

Oh Jodiiiii. Hi Cutie Girl.
What is that black thing in front of your face?
Hi. Hi. Hi! Jodiiiiiii…
Mom? Mom?

Jodi. Hi!!
Oh, there you are!!
:::snap, snap, snap::: I think I caught the tail end of a smile!

Stop gloating. Pretend you didn’t see that.

My babies are the same way….smile smile laugh….see camera and freeze. There are a few smiles now, but they are hard fought :D

Just wait until she’s a teen and won’t smile for a picture, because she hates having her picture taken. Then when she does smile, it’s a goofy smile, and you start looking for pictures for a photo presentation for 8th grade graduation (homeschool) celebration, and you can’t find anything recent that doesn’t have goofy faces and silly smiles in them. :) and I have found that my son is even worse than the teen daughter! :)
Blessings,

Our one year old foster sons game is to look at the camera till the very second that you push the button and then look away! I have more pictures of that child’s ear than of his face!!! LOL!

Too cute. I have many pics of my blessings with the same looks on their faces. It must be a conspiracy!

You have captured my difficulty perfectly. Jodi and Aidan are so close in age I can totally relate to your posts.
I try to pull the camera away and do facial gymnastics too–hasn’t worked for me so far.
