We’re Home!!!

We got home last night around 4:30 and everyone was thrilled to see Jodi. Between dinner and catching up and then being exhausted I haven’t had a chance to post. But today, today I took a nap and I am feeling almost human again. Jillian wanted to give Jodi a little snuggle. Hi, sister.
She so cute, Mom.
Here is Jodi chillin’ with her big sister.
Then Jodi and I had a little snuggle time.
Oh boy I’ve never seen her so smiley.
The pleasure and relief is palpable.
The plan is to go in for a heel stick weekly until we can consult with the pediatric endocrinologist. Labs should be back tomorrow. We strongly feel that Jodi went in with a virus and the other problems were drug induced. We will know for sure on Wednesday.
Tomorrow (or maybe tonight being that I am feeling so good) we will return you to your regularly scheduled program about the progress on our property. Tune in for the next episode for adventure, wet clothes, cranky neighbors and gun fire. Never a dull moment here.

I’m glad that Jodi is home and doing well! ….gun fire?! PLEASE tell me it was not directed at any of you!

So glad she is home and doing well! This is all a reminder as to why I try my hardest to keep from having to take any of my kids to Urgent Care or ER. It is so scary the control they have of your child once they are in there, and what they might do that is not beneficial. I’m so sorry for you to have to have gone through all this, as I know you have the same reservations as I do in this area. :-)

What great baby grins! Jodi looks great! I can’t wait to hear what your neighbors are up to now…Do you hear banjos when you go near them?

That’s such a great feeling to be home again! No wonder Jodi’s extra smiley.
And Jillian’s hair is looking so beautiful these days. Does she still want to shave it off to make for less work or is she resigned to it?
Drat, someone already said something about the banjos. But I actually have a different comment: maybe you should get Jenna and John and Jason, oh…Junie, maybe, to learn banjo. Then you should set up loudspeakers and make sure the music is heard loud and clear at your neighbor’s place.
Think it would work as camo?

Praise the Lord for smiley babies back home in the arms of their family!!! Now that is what we like to see!

So glad your home and pretty much over that ordeal… someday I’ll have to tell you about the time Liberty was hospitalized at 15 months for what they thought might be a horrible UTI spreading to kidneys, likely to cause kidney failure at any moment… which turned out to be roseola, diagnosed by me, dr mom… ugh… I lost my faith in our local medical establishment anyway…
Looking forward to seeing what you build at your piece of paradise this summer!
Shoudl I book my visit for the fall? Oh wait, I’m due in October…
Enjoy them all,
ali
