Life is Good.
May 3, 2008
You remember our horrible week a while back. It seems we are in good times again. I will elaborate more tomorrow but here are the basics.
Monday
Some of you know that the homeschool convention was this last weekend here in Springfield. Well I skipped it in favor of the public library’s used book sale. Can you say every children’s book is 50 cents? I know, you are salivating. It was just as cool as you imagine it was. I even have pictures. Then I went to dinner with Debbie and Mary (who is blogless because she has livestock instead) who were my cohorts in crime at the book sale. I tell you what, that was a grand time. I am counting the minutes until the next sale.
Tuesday
We stayed home all day and schooled. With the new system I have for school things are going so well. I’ll cover the school changes in a future post. We played outside alot due to the fabulous weather. John made Liver Pate for dinner and all but two loved it. Who knew? John wants to blog about it.
Wednesday
Had a follow up appointment for Jodi but missed it because I was unable to find a large structure that we call Cox Hospital North. Not sure how I screwed that one up but I had a nice scenic drive up and down I-44 for about 30 minutes. I need to reschedule that.
Thursday
Sewed and sewed. Mariah’s birthday was today and I made her an outfit I forgot to take pictures of. I do have pictures of a similar outfit I made I made for Saige back in…December of 2006?
Friday
Another Country English Dance. Wish you had been there, we had a blast.
Saturday
Mariah’s horse themed party where all but two of my children rode horses and enjoyed wonderful cake and friends. I think this week has been the highlight of our year.
Tomorrow we will be home all day again and I’ll post some pictures. Jodi is calling me.

I love the library sale! I go to ours every month! Glad things are well. We’re looking forward to the great pictures we know you’ll post!

Sounds like a great week! I’m glad you were busy having fun, and accomplishing great things…..instead of in the hospital with various children (as I was starting to fear)! I get pretty compulsive about used book sales. I can’t pass them up, it’s one of my super happy places! I went to an enormous garage sale on Saturday and found a beautiful, Kingfisher, illustrated Children’s dictionary for $2. Not as cool as a used book sale, but thrilling none the less!

Now library used book sales are one thing that we DO have here in England - and I love them!!! Sounds like a great week!

I can beat that price. ;) Our used book sale is 25 cents the first day and after that, it’s 10 for a dollar! We got some NICE stuff there!

I love those kind of sales! They have one every month, but quarterly they have a $5/paper grocery bag day and that is when we usually go. I am always able to find some readers, picture books and some good non-fiction when I go. I can sometimes get some nice board books for the babies too. We love books!
