A Week to Catch up on a Week?

May 6, 2008

I’m not sure there isn’t something terribly wrong with this. Why is it taking a week to catch up on what happened last week and what will happen to this week when next week comes along? Will I forever be behind? Or am I really behind in the big scheme of things? What’s a week anyway? I’m sure I’ll have 7 days of boredom sometime come January or February 2009 so I’ll catch up then. Is it really bothering you that today’s news is really last weeks news? Or are you just happy for the free reading material?

Where were we? Wednesday right? As I said, I tried to take Jodi to her “follow up appointment” with the pediatrician that saw her in hospital. But instead I got hopelessly lost and bawled like a baby because I was having a bad day already. By the time I was 15 minutes late I called the peds office and then came home. I was too late, must reschedule. Darnit!! Since then I have called the “blue team” nurse several times and she has called me and instead of an appointment I’ve had a rousing game of phone tag. I am certain someone is about to call the authorities on me for medical neglect because we still haven’t been in for our “follow up appointment” but I am trying. Honestly.

This is Jodi in case you’ve forgotten what she looks like. She is doing well except for this little ploy she has learned. She gets whatever she wants when she pulls out this look. Or, any look for that matter. She has us trained and it’s sad. Very sad.

Thursday I was still frantically cutting thread ends off of a pair of jeans for a birthday girl. They look similar to these that I made in 2006.

Because we had a party to go to on Saturday. And we were super excited.

Friday we went to a dance that looked remarkably similar to this one.

We didn’t get home until 12:30. Boy that was a blast. Amber and Angela, we are already planning one for next month. Pencil in the last Friday of the month. I’ll let you know when we have solid plans. Robin, Debbie and Amanda C. (and any other folks near the Springfield area) I expect to see you there.

After our night of raucous fun we were up again bright and early to continue our pursuit of fun and excitement. We were invited to a horse themed birthday party!! YEE HAW!!

To be continued…

Wow, thanks so much for the personal invite. Let me know when and where and we’ll certainly try to make it. Sounds fun! I’m glad you had a good week and I am jealous of your finds at the FOTL sale, we missed it this year. Jodi is adorable and growing way too quickly.

You are planning a dance? At the end of June? Maybe we’ll be able to come to that one, we’ve been so busy maybe June will be calmer. :)
Ha ha that dance did look very similar. What are the chances of all your kids wearing the same clothes and dancing with the same people at two different dances? ;)
Did Jill and June dance this time around? I’m itching to dance with your kids at a real dance, so one of these days we’ll be there. :) Maybe our whole family will be able to come to the June dance.
