Samuel Backus…
has gone to Heaven. I am so privileged to have "known" Samuel and the Backus family through their blog. Of all the cancer deaths I have seen, Samuel’s and Ellie’s were the most natural and I commend their mothers for knowing when enough is enough. Should I ever be presented with a situation that involves the death of a child I hope I would handle it as gracefully as Jen Backus and Sarah Skees. Those two women and their families are my heroes.
Pray for the Backus family today.

I was wondering if you’d seen this yet. How odd to have Jillie’s one year pictures up the same week little Samuel is now sleeping.
I am and have been praying for Mark and Jen and the kids often.
so sad! I discovered Sam’s family because of Jillian’s struggle. I am praying for his siblings and his family. God bless them!
I have had them in my prayers for some time now. I will lift them even more today. I feel so deeply for that family and what they are going through. I pray that peace is finally able to find them.
