  • My friend, Jacque Dixon, told me about this movie a few weeks ago. I want to see it too!! I really liked the other two by the same people: Flywheel and Facing the Giants.

Oh I cannot wait to see this. We have the other 2 movies and love them. I doubt it will be in theatres where I live, but we will for sure purchase the DVD when it comes out!!

  • Ooo, it is opening on my birthday. Maybe our date?

  • Me, me, me! I want to babysit. Especially if Jenna and John will cook for me. I’m there. :)

  • OK! Now I’m really jealous! Facing the Giants never even made it over here, and I’m sure this one won’t either! :o(

It better still be in cinemas at Christmas when I get over there because I REALLY want to see this one!

  • I have heard about this movie also and I would really like to watch it.
Kirk Cameron… I used to swoon at the mention of his name, back in his Mike Seaver days! :)
    haha
I hope you have a great time at the opening, I don’t know if it is coming anywhere close to us.
    Love,
    Chas

  • This is the first I have seen about this- it looks great! I can’t wait to see it. We really enjoyed Facing the Giants once we finally saw it (on dvd). Every now and then we see something at a theater (usually the drive-in) and it used to bug me that we couldn’t go more often, but I really don’t mind waiting for DVD’s any more.

    Blessings!

  • It’s coming to our town too! Can’t wait to see it! We saw the trailer last year at the San Antonio Film Festival and thought it looked wonderful.

Here’s a tidbit of fun info about it…

At the end of the movie there is a “kiss.” To avoid having people not married to each other kissing, they used the real wife of the main character as a “stand-in.”

    I appreciate that. : )

  • Hahaha Chas! I’m glad I’m not the only Kirk Cameron fan! :o) I used to have a picture of him pinned up in my locker – as you say from his ‘Mike Seaver’ days! LOL!

I was in Indianapolis for the Southern Baptist Convention (with my husband) and they had a free screening of this movie.
It was AWESOME!! I highly recommend it to anyone. You will laugh and cry. It is REALLY great!
Our church is going to rent a whole movie theater for everyone to see it. It’s that good.

My husband is a fireman and our marriage is a little rocky right now. I hope to come away from this movie with some insight and hope. I do plan to buy the book too in hopes of learning somethings about myself, him, faith, and our marriage.

Just came home from seeing Fireproof. Kirk Cameron was wonderful; he played his part with sincerity and realism. The bickering between him and his wife shows how people start to hate their spouse, and then neither can do anything right after a while, and also how complaining to “friends” at work can “fan the flames” of resentment.

Our church rented a whole movie theatre to show the movie, and it was well attended. We also bought the book—-Love Dare— as featured in the movie, and can’t wait to dig into i!!!

I went to see this movie and it was one of the best I have seen. Why is it Hollywood does not promote movies that are clean instead of these gay cowboys, they get an oscar and deserve a peanut. Please HOLLYWOOD bring back good, clean movies instead of trash!

This is the first movie my husband and I have gone to see together in years. We’ve been married about 25 years. Kids are grown and mostly gone. The movie left a mark. We saw it about a week ago, and we are not the same as we have been. I want my son and his girlfriend to see it, (he happens to be a firefighter) as they are talking about getting married in a year. It’s meaningful.
