My Daughter’s First Tan Line.

My baby is 8 months old now and it is always so fun to see a child’s personality emerge. Jodi loves being outside. She’d be outside before she’d be anywhere else, it seems. The other day it rained and we were forced to open the front door so Jodi could sit in front of it and look out at the weather. It was the only thing that would keep her happy.
We have come up with an amazing system. Barring inclement weather Jodi can be found going for a walk all over the property.
All day.
Everyday.
It is bliss this life we lead. And Jodi’s especially. I mean, who can be unhappy with a view like that?

And a brother who pushes you happily until you fall into a contented slumber.

We have a fabulous circular driveway

I love this life, Mom. Thank you for bringing me to this place and for giving me loving siblings.
Oh Jodi, anything for you.
And this is just the icing on the cake. Jodi has tan lines. I don’t know if I’ve seen anything more hysterical. Tan lines of the well fed.
Oh you stop it with the cuteness. Stop it right now!!

How sweet. Its such a reward to your spirit to see the labor of teaching love. My kids take care of each other too.
And the tan lines on that baby’s chubby legs is too funny. Go vitamin D!
Keep enjoying your farm.

Yep - gotta love the tan lines. My littlest (just 3 months older than Jodi) had the tan lines in all her little creases this summer - more so on the backs of the legs than the front, since she spent much of her time outside crawling.

AWWW…I love chubby babies! Mine are so flaca (though it doesn’t take away from their cuteness, IMO ). Get that girl and her poor slave an all-terrain jogging stroller! That one you’ve got was meant for the city… :)

From the pictures I’ve seen of your new place how can Jodi NOT want to be outside all day???!! Open land is nothing but discovery for kids. They can roam free without traffic and danger all around. Seems like Jodi already had this figured out!
