  • We liked the house flip shows too! They’re so thrilled to find a $400K house in Calif, and then after spending $50K to upgrade it, they sell it for a $1mil. Amazing!

  • I watched those flip shows incessantly (and House Hunters) when Katie was a baby and nursing all the time.

  • Oh and PS they are still on!

  • Katie, thanks for linking to Cheeseslave. I’d love to hear about some of your other favorite NT-type blogs. I grew up eating somewhat that way (with a dairy cow and our own chickens, in addition to a huge garden) and our health was stellar.

Since I live in town now, I’ve slid into more of a SAD diet and I know I need to make some dramatic changes. I can feel such a huge difference in myself since eating poorly. (I still eat far more healthfully than most people, but not nearly well enough.) This knowledge is compounded by recently-discovered food allergies in one of my children. Total physical and emotional change when we avoid certain foods and eat properly.

Anyway, I found Cheeseslave (and your blog) inspiring in terms of healthy food, and since cooking is apparently my new hobby, I’m on the hunt for that kind of encouragement. Also re-reading Nourishing Traditions and preparing to get backyard hens and a garden.
