I’m the adoptive parent of two kids with developmental disabilities (FASD) and have to say I’m offended by your use of the word “retarded” in your post. I hope you would rethink using that word as a put-down or in a derogatory way (even jokingly), it’s really a slap in the face to people with developmental disabilities in general, and perpetuates a negative and hurtful stereotype.
Do you know anything about FASD Katie? :)
