Mini Moos
Or Multiple Moos. Or Many Moos. Or ahhhh…they’re baby cows. There are 4 new bull calves at my place. This is how we roll here at the Bettendorf place. See an ad, answer ad, bring new animals to the farm. There isn’t a whole lot of deep thought going on.

What have you done to me? Where have you taken me?
Then it was time to get out. But they were hesitant. Probably because a 18 inch drop is a little intimidating when you are only 36 inches tall.

Come on little fella.

Sometimes you can lure them out with a trick.

But once they are down the instincts kick in and the rooting begins.

Flesh!! Flesh!!

Right about now Jenna was laughing hysterically. She’s SO immature.

Finally they were led to the stock tank and after some false starts gave themselves nice long drinks of water. Peppermint is not sure she is happy about her new barn mates.
Then all of the lowing and mooing beckoned Rosie the milk cow over. The introductions were heart warming. I’ll catch you up to speed tomorrow.

But it tickled!!
Cool! Don’t worry Jenna, I would have done the same thing!
That’s a LOT of beef!
What are you going to feed them all? I think you are looking for an excuse to buy another family milk cow, Katie. Be honest now, they can be addictive!
Right now they are drinking all of our milk. :( But ya, you are on to me. How can bovines (large and small) be so cute?
Just wait until she calves herself. She won’t be so cute then. Our Lois did a few weeks back and my husband is milking her with the help of our eldest. Lois is NOT being very cooperative…still. Hubby now says he’ll have NO trouble sending her off for hamburger when it is time.
So when’s the new bovine scheduled to arrive? LOL!!
