We're zone 6, so we have to wait awhile for planting to begin in earnest. Some of my cold weather stuff is in like lettuce, peas and radishes, but I'm going to do all my warm weather stuff from starts in another month and a half :) I need to put up hoops or something so I can keep the dogs out... it's chicken wire on the soil right now but that won't work after things start sprouting! We need to somehow fence in the garden to keep the chickens out. We've gotten started on that, but the ground is rock hard from lack of rain here, so I think we'll get an auger attachment for the tractor:) Will make all the fencing go much faster. Here I am in Zone 9 and my seeds have only been in the ground for 2 weeks. I like how you put hoops on your beds. I may do that next year. No need for it anymore. We are behind too. We usually wait till mid to end of April so we have warmer and more light in the day. Right now we are working on getting our chicks. We sould be getting them this morning! I hope they make it!
