Have you RSVPed??
You know that big party we are having in 2 weeks where we will do all kinds of fun party type things? Well, I have a question – have many port-a-potties will we need? No like really, do y’all plan to visit them alot or do you typically go all day without a visit? I could go into detail about how things work here in my house but that might be embarrassing to some. In other words, you’ll have to wait until we are face to face because I don’t put those things in writing. You know, in case there is a law suit later. Actually, you probably don’t *want* to know those kinds of details about my family. So feel safe, I won’t talk about it when you come to visit.
Something I will talk about on my blog is how many folks we should be expecting. There were quite a few people that said they’d like to be here but they’ll have to see so if you guys (see how I like to mix it up with the Midwest and west coast vernaculars?) could please do a quick check in I’d be mighty grateful. I know there was that bus post that may have scared some off and then the unfortunate debacle at The Conservative Life that ma have caused some to change their minds about whether they are worthy. A simple "I’ll be there." or "Sorry, can’t make it." would work or you can write a whole essay on how much fun we are going to have and how you are bringing your accordion for all of us to polka.
In other news, Jeff bought me a gun yesterday. Stay tuned for pictures of me shooting an innocent box to death.

Katie, you really crack me up :) I’ve been noticing some southern-ese slipping into my west coast vernacular lately too! And, no, sorry, we will not be at your party, but hope ya’ll write oodles and oodles about it so I can be there in spirit :)
And BTW, if you hadn’t scared off enough people already, I’m sure the death of innocent boxes will do the trick ;)
Shooting boxes? This may change things for us. We’re tree huggers you know. ;) If we can get over it in the next two weeks we are still planning on gracing you with our presence on Saturday sometime.
Alas, as with most out of state trips we try to plan, this one will not be happening either. :( I’m sad too. I really want to hang out with you all! And, no, it has nothing to do with tcl. I’m okay with my unworthiness. ;) No, actually it has to do with Dustin’s vacation and also that we just got the schedule and the boys have their second baseball game that weekend. Since they only play five games in a season, I suppose we don’t need to miss one. I think I’ll go pout for a while now.
How sad to hear some may not come because of such petty things. I didn’t catch those debates. We would love to come but have other obligations for that weekend. May 1st right? Well, if this one is a success and you have another one, put us down. Maybe we will find a random goat to bring with us, :) ha!
sorry, we won’t be there.
What is The Conservative Life and is it something I should be making a part of my daily web crawling? It would be so cool to meet you and your family but I live a lonely pauper’s life in NY.
We don’t shoot trees. What’s the problem? ;) You know what small turn out means, don’t you? Flush toilets.
Ha!! You think you are funny with the random goat joke. I tell you, boy goats are nothing to joke about. ;)
We’ll catch you next year. :)
The Conservative Life is Jeff’s forum where people hang out and say things like fart and crap.
That is not exactly true.
We’re on double secret financial probation. Must pay off credit cards first.
Count us in for next year.
Phil and Jill
We will not be able to make it this year, but look forward to joining you all next year. Take lots of pictures to share and tell us all about it, pretty please? :D
Thank you for inviting us :)
Misty and family
Wish I was. I can’t wait to see the pictures!
We’ll be there. :o)
So, I guess it’s us, Debbie and Heather Wawa! I love flushing toilets!
Running water! Woohoo!!
Would love to be there, but a trip to Missouri is not happening for us! ;)
I expect numerous, photo-filled blog posts to make me feel like I was there, though.
we will be there. we are utilizing Missouri’s lax carseat laws and driving up in our little nissan king cab. all 6 of us!
can’t wait to meet everyone!
Oh how I wish we were able to go! W wants to check out all of Jeff’s construction projects, smell the manure (cuz one can’t get enough in out own yard) and me just hang out!
We have the dreaded 3 day TPR that week and Monday..drats!
It is still a possibility. It is written on the calendar and hubby says we’ll try to make it, but he’s not sounding very committal.
It likely depends on the weather and our budget.
as much as I want to be there, we have a date with the doctor on the 1st of May :(
No trip for us. Looking forward to pics to see what we missed.
AH, next year for us, too. Pesky hips…
I also wanted you to know we got your package yesterday…thank you guys SO much. The girls can’t wait to try the glow bracelets…and the stickers are already adorning SEVERAL items…
WOO HOO!!
It’s mostly true.
it still looks like were coming! Were borrowing a camper and picking it up tomorrow :)
We’re planning on comming unless there is a problem with the weather. We’re pretty new at this camping stuff and have decided not to try to camp in a tent in the rain.
Steve and Sarah Hayes (plus 7 kiddos)
Can I still RSVP even though I’m 4 days late? :o) My kids have convinced me that, no, they don’t NEED to go to their piano recital!!
Bret and Janice (and 6 kids)
Absolutely!!
Who’s doing the math? Not me. How many families are coming?
I updated the party page and I am coming up with 63 children and at least 24 adults (12 families). :)
Won’t be making it, but wish I could.
