Kite Flying
I love the spring. Ya, you got the warmer weather. Ya, you got the garden going in. Ya, you got the longer days. But you know what else you have? Cheap kites in the store. Almost every year I have bought kites for the kids. They cost $1, how can I not?

In Arizona there wasn’t much in the way of wind so we’d fly the kites several times per year. Plus we had to go down to the park and even then you weren’t assured that you wouldn’t lose a kite to a tree.
Now, when I brought home my $6 bounty we walked several hundred feet out our back door and put those beauties in the air right there!!
I love Missouri wind. This is what it looks like. A burst here.
Oops, no bursting.
There’s a burst.
And then there were more kites. I had a blanket set up so I could just sit back and admire the scene.
Then all the kites were up.
Except Superman. Superman was taking a break.

Superman later got stuck in a tree when Jill accidentally et go of her string. Super heroes are no match for large gnarly trees.

That looks like such fun!!! I love love love kites and it’s plenty windy here but I just just stink at it because I can’t get a kite to fly.
