About Us
We are a Christian family of 14. We have 12 children – 7 that we have adopted and 5 biological.
We recently moved to the Ozarks and are trying to do this homesteading thing.
November 2007 
I, Katie, started this blog in may of 2005 in an effort to keep in touch with family and friends. Little did I know it would grow into a place for friendly debate, education and idea sharing. Let me introduce our family.
I’m Katie, the writer of this blog. My interests include kids, sewing, kids, eating healthy, kids, adoption, kids, homesteading and kids. I try to update once a day because I know how much I enjoy it when others do.
This is Jeff. He is the patriarch of the family. He enjoys improving his message board and giving me strange looks.
Our oldest child is Jenna. She is 12 years old and enjoys guitar, Latin and changing poopy diapers. Ok, not really, but she does enjoy her little siblings. Here she is being a super big sister and surfing at the same time. She has her own blog.
This is our eldest son John. He came to live with us when he was 5 years old. He is the biological brother to Jacob and Jessica. John enjoys cooking, heavy lifting and generally being a big help around the farm. John also has his own blog.
Jacob is next in line. He came to live withus when he was a young boy of three. He is the biological brother to John and Jessica. Jacob enjoys being a smart aleck, snuggling babies and making fires. His blog is here.
Jason came to live with us when he was 6yo and he is the biological brother of Joshua, Josiah and Jolina. Jason enjoys drawing pictures, doing puzzles and playing outside. Oh, and flirtiing with those native Ozark women. His blog is here.
Jessica came to live with us at age 2 and is the biological sister to John and Jacob. Jessica enjoys bunnies, jump rope and making coffee for her parents. Jessica’s blog is here.
Junie is our second biological child. Her interests include drawing, playing with babies and collecting chicken eggs. Oh, and obsessing over ducks. Her blog is here.
This is Joshua and Josiah (Josiah is on the left). They came to live with us just after their second birthday. They enjoy running in circles, pretending to mame and kill each other and doing twin like things.
Jillian is our miracle child. She was diagnosed with cancer at age 4 and come April 2009 will be cancer free for 2 years. She enjoys being silly, running like a girl and playing with baby dolls. You can learn more about her natural cancer protocol here.
This is Jolina, or Lina for short. Her biological mother named her Lina and we didn’t want to confuse her when we adopted her. She came to live with us when she was 10 months old. Lina enjoys playing with baby dolls, jumping on the trampoline and being naughty.
Jonah (we call him Donut because when Jillian said “Jonah” it sounded so much like Donut) is our first biological son. He enjoys helping in the kitchen, calling people “poop head” and falling off his tricycle.
Jodi – born January 6th, 2008 at 4:14 PM a wonderful unintentionally unassisted home birth. Jodi enjoys snuggling with her mother, being entertained by her siblings and playing outside in any kind of weather.
This is Domino. He is a steer. In 24 months we will change his name to Dinner.
