Day 3 of no computer. I hope I am starting to enjoy the jobs I do. Have I found something else to reward myself with instead of changing my attitude?
The day of the cookies we, of course, gave one to Jodi. So she ate it. No big deal, right? Yes, it’s a very big deal. [...]

Long ago before Jodi was born I found this sling thing that babies could sleep in. It was very hammock-like and looked extremely cozy for babies (or 30-something women). I dreamed of one day having one (for Baby of course) but the price tag deterred me from buying one.
Then one day I had a revelation!! [...]

Don’t tell her that she knows how to sit by herself.
Don’t tell her that if she was left alone long enough she could scooch herself across the floor.
Don’t tell her I am purposely stunting her development by refusing to let her do these things.
Don’t tell her that the word "Mom" will get her anything [...]

My baby is 8 months old now and it is always so fun to see a child’s personality emerge. Jodi loves being outside. She’d be outside before she’d be anywhere else, it seems. The other day it rained and we were forced to open the front door so Jodi could sit in front of it [...]

When you have a little one that is requesting some attention…and you have older children that desire to occupy the baby. Well, if you are smart you take advantage of this. I’m smart.
I love, love, love this wrap. It was purchased at Mom and Me Creations (Samuel Backus’ mom) and given to [...]

I am assuming that Sarah is holding some sort of grudge against me for not posting pictures of Jodi in the wonderful and amazing longies we swapped for. I am assuming that because she still has not posted pictures of her daughter in the shimmery dresses I made. I thought about crying but decided to [...]

Not that she ever really went anywhere. She’s been here all along but it’s been awhile since you have seen her. I know some people have been wondering how she is. She is fabulous and all tests showed she was fine. So I was given the go ahead to NOT worry about adrenals. Whoopie!
Look what [...]

Someone asked about Jodi and her blood tests. She still goes weekly for a heel prick but we will likely change that to intravenous blood draw due to the events of this week. It has come to our attention through our education via Internet that a heel prick to test potassium is not very accurate. [...]

Monday we had our first Nature Study. We went to a local park and everyone parked themselves somewhere to draw something from nature.
The day was idyllic with plenty of drawing material, great weather, the ever present breeze and great company.
Everyone worked hard.
Even the little ones enjoyed the study.
Eventually everyone convened on [...]

We got home last night around 4:30 and everyone was thrilled to see Jodi. Between dinner and catching up and then being exhausted I haven’t had a chance to post. But today, today I took a nap and I am feeling almost human again. Jillian wanted to give Jodi a little snuggle. Hi, sister.
She [...]
