Nixa Dance – Part III

The dance in Nixa was a blast.

My twins, Joshua and Josiah with Angela and Amber.

They shared a very twinnish dance.

Two cuties.

Excuse me while I digress for a moment.  This is Jillian.  Over two years ago she was diagnosed with cancer.  3 months later she was declared cancer free.

Jill looked absolutely angelic at the [...]

Milestones.

Missing front teeth.

Did I ever mention that Jill is the only child in this family that has green eyes like me?

Six

When she was 3 we visited Missouri for 2 weeks.

When she was 4 she was diagnosed with cancer and declared cancer free.

When she was 5 she was playing in creeks and soaking up the sunshine, experiencing her first snow and growing hair.

Now she is 6 and she is a farm girl…

that has probably never been [...]

She is HEALED of Cancer!!!

Nancy Morton is HEALED!!!

ONLY God can do this. I don’t know if you’ve ever read up on stage IV, metastic lung cancer, but it’s not good and usually always fatal. There’s like a 2-3% survival rate. When I first found out it was stage IV I didn’t even tell my mother, the nurse, because I [...]

The Right To Die.

Or perhaps it would be better said "The Right to Live."  Below is the story of a 13yo girl who is refusing a heart transplant in favor of living her life as fully as she currently can and dying when it is time.  If you follow the link you will find a radio interview below [...]

A Normal Healthy Girl

This is where we left off.  This is where Jillian was asking me if we were done taking pictures.
Yes we are done.

Then off she went.  She took off running.

Past the garden.

Back behind the barn where the kids play.

Like a normal healthy kid.  One that doesn’t have cancer.  One that may have never had cancer.  [...]

Jillian and Her Hair.

Since so many people asked about Jillian and her hair after catching a glimpse of it in a photo here I thought I’d give you look see.  I’ve cut it two or three times since it started really growing out.  Remember when all she had was fuzz?  And then bed head?
I took Jillian out [...]

I’m Glad You’re Not Dead.

Several weeks ago Jillian and I were walking at Branson Landing after her vitamin IV and Jillian said,
"Mom, I’m glad you’re not dead."
And I replied,
"I’m glad you’re not dead."

Samuel Backus…

has gone to Heaven.  I am so privileged to have "known" Samuel and the Backus family through their blog.  Of all the cancer deaths I have seen, Samuel’s and Ellie’s were the most natural and I commend their mothers for knowing when enough is enough.  Should I ever be presented with a situation that involves [...]

Pictures From Last Week.

As I said, last week was a blast.  Monday night I went to the library book sale and loaded up.

But wait, that’s not all.

You can start salivating now.

Now you want to go to the next sale, huh?

I’ll meet you there and we can go out to dinner afterwards.  My kids have been [...]
