 There has been much speculation and wonder surrounding the Aurora (that is the name of the town in which it is located) house that we traded our creek front property for. I am here to quell your fears and answer your questions.  And what that means to me this year is that Jenna had a scratchy throat for 3 days and she will likely take the day off and I get to do her chores today. Not that I mind. Even if it is 20 degrees out I LOVE throwing food out to the chickens.  We get started early here on the farm. Jodi wanted to get going around 5am so here I am at 7am feeling fully awake and perky. Of course, I retired at 9pm the night before after working my fingers to the bones putting up those veggies.  Okay… it happened. We closed on a house with 28 acres. The house is small, but it will work. The barn is in good shape. The land is beautiful! It is fenced and cross-fenced. It has three ponds and is a nice mix of woods and pasture. We are excited to be moving out of [...]  Other people enjoyed the creek as well. This one was unhappy because we made him wear swimmies. We wouldn’t let him drown. We are so mean that way. But soon he was feeling better again. I was keeping my feet cool in the 28 degree water. Ok, it wasn’t really 28 degrees. Jodi loves the creek. She loves [...]  I think I mentioned that we went to the property awhile back. Yes we did. We drove around for an extraordinary length of time then we grabbed some stuff that passed for food here in America. Then finally we got to what we came for.  After everyone got sufficiently wet we decided to take another check up on the building site. I had been unable to get pictures earlier because Jodi is so demanding. But here you can see how big the site is. The footprint is about 40×24. There will be 3 levels (2880 sq ft) plus [...]  After Jeff had given all the kids an admonition about staying dry he took off hiking up the bluff on the other side of the creek. And we were left all alone with a large body of water and 10 children and sticks. That is surely a recipe for fun. No doubt about it.  So you read and saw the pictures of our visit to the property and then you saw the subsequent vandalism now let’s check in at the property again and see how things look. All was well at the build site and so we took a trek down to the water to see how high it [...]  Once upon a time there was this BIG family that wanted to build a little house, by a little creek and have a little life.
